Youngest son, James Taylor was appointed in 1575 as executor of his father's Will. Being under 21 years of age at the time, his father made James's brother Richard his guardian until he came of age.

Gives 5 shillings to the poor people of Heathfield.
Gives to his wife Julian his wearing apparel, a furnished bedstedle which stands in the hall chamber, a bed bolster, a pair of pillows, a coverlet & blankets, four pair of sheets, two bedclothes, two pillowcases, six table napkins, and two towels of her choice. He also gives her the two lesser of his two iron pots, the biggest and the smallest brass kettles, and other items including the cage cupboard, the new chest, the chest with letters for her name, two firkyns, a pyn, two drinking pots, the woollen and linen trendles, three pewter platters, three pewter dishes, two fruit dishes, a pewter salt, two pewter porrengers, two tubs, a keeler...
Gives 10 shillings to his son James Taylor.
Gives £5 to his son Thomas Taylor if he is still living and returns to the country to claim his portion.
Gives 40 shillings to his son William.
Gives £10 to his son Nathan.
Gives 20 shillings to his daughter Joane the wife of Robert Luckas.
Gives £7 to his daughter Margery wife of Jacob Prior.
Gives 40 shillings to his daughter Susan.
All the rest of his goods & chattels he gives and bequeaths to his son John whom he makes sole executor of his last will and testament.
Wills and devises to his wife Julian an annuity or yearly rent of £3 to be paid out of his lands, tenements & hereditaments in Heathfield, for the term of her natural life.
Wills and devises to his daughter Susan an annuity or yearly rent of 26 shillings 8 pence out of the same, for the term of her natural life.
Finally he wills & devises the said lands & tenements comprising around 6 acres to his son John and his heirs.
