At the time of the 1861 England Census Henry J. F. Swayne, aged 42, born in Wilton Wilts, Recorder of Wilton, barrister-at-law in practice, and wife Mine E, aged 32, born in London Middlesex, were living in Manor House, Netherhampton Wiltshire. With them were daughters Amy Mary (7) of Stratford-sub-Castle Wilts, scholar, Ethel Julia (5) of Stratford-sub-Castle, scholar, Katherine S (4) of Netherhampton Wilts, and Lilian F E (1) of Netherhampton.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Henry J. F.
