In July 1875 Katharine Sophia Swayne was present at the marriage of her sister Amy Mary Swayne to Charles Robert Straton in Wilton.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Katherine Sophia Edwards, aged 24, born in Netherhampton Wilts, married, and her daughter Margaret K Swayne Edwards (9 mo) of Paddington Middlesex, were with Katherine's parents at The Island, Wilton Wiltshire.

In December 1885 Katharine Sophia Edwards of the Square, Wilton, in the county of Wilts, widow, was granted Administration of her late husband's personal effects.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Katherine Sophia Farebrother, aged 54, born in Netherhampton Wilts (mother of 2 children), and husband of 25 years Horace John Lloyd Farebrother, aged 56, born in Corby Lincolnshire, dental surgeon, were living in Leehurst, New Sarum Wiltshire. With them were children (all single) Felix Swayne Farebrother (23) of Andover Hants, student at Middle Temple, Gwladys Swayne Farebrother (21) of Andover, and Margaret Kathleen Swayne Edwards* (30) of Marylebone London.

In July 1913 Katherine Sophia Farebrother, widow, was granted Probate of her late husband's personal effects.

In September 1913 K. S. Farebrother was present at the marriage of her son Felix Swayne Farebrother to Margaret Garth in Chelsea St. Luke's.
