DEATH OF MR. H. J. L. FAREBROTHER.
The Funeral.
We regret to announce the death of Mr. Horace John Lloyd Farebrother, which occurred at his residence, Leehurst, Campbell-road, Salisbury, on Sunday evening, after a protracted illness. Mr. Farebrother was well-known in Salisbury and the neighbourhood, and was held in the highest esteem by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. The deceased gentleman was the son of Rev. Charles Farebrother, Rector of Irnham and Vicar of Corby, Lincolnshire, and was born at Corby Vicarage on August 27th, 1854. He adopted the profession of dental surgery, and in 1876 qualified as L.D.S. R.C.S., England. After practising for a time at Tunbridge Wells, he came to Salisbury as assistant to Messrs. Buckell and Rogers, of New-street. On the death of Mr. Buckell, Mr. Farebrother purchased the Salisbury practice, Mr. Rogers proceeding to Winchester. The late Mr. Farebrother carried on the practice at New-street for about 30 years, and remained associated with it until the end of 1910, when his illness rendered his retirement from business imperative. For a long period Mr. Farebrother acted as honorary dental surgeon at the Salisbury Infirmary, being obliged to relinquish that post on account of illness. He was a member of the Elias de Derham Lodge of Freemasons, and formerly held a commission as Lieutenant in the Wilton Company of the 1st Wilts V.R.C. He also filled the offices of people's and vicar's churchwarden at St. Mark's Church.
The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon. The first part of the service was held at St. Mark's Church, in the presence of a large congregation, which included the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr. and Mrs. F. Sutton).... The chief mourners were:—Mrs. Horace Farebrother (widow), the Rev. Felix Farebrother (son), Miss Margaret Edwards (step-daughter), Mr. Frank Farebrother and Mr. Aubrey Farebrother (brothers), Mr. J.
