  Research Notes:

In 1733 John Hulbert was a residuary legatee of the Will of his maternal grandfather, John Gallimore of Wootton Bassett.

In 1744 John Hulbert received £200 from his late father's Will. Also in 1744 John Hulburt of Cossam [Corsham], clothier, was named as a beneficiary in the Will of his first cousin once-removed Humphry Gallimore of St. Marylebone.

In 1761 John Hulbert was the sole executor, trustee and residuary legatee of his mother's Will.

In 1774 John Hulbert received £500 from the Will of his first cousin Jane Richmond of Ashton Keynes, spinster.

John Hulbert of Corsham born 1713, married Mary Smith of
Rowden House, Chippenham, died 2nd June 1799, leaving issue
five children namely,
1. Catherine married John Heart and whose daughter
Mary Sophia married John Swayne of Wilton;
2. John Gallimore Hulbert, born 1741, married Elizabeth
Kington of Stowell, Wilts, and died 19th December 1801;
3. Robert Hulbert of Frome who died July 1794;
4. Jane, born 8th October 1739, married Richard Hill of
Pickwick, and died 20th May 1817 and
5. Mary who married George Prior of Halse, Somerset, and Sydenham, Kent, and died 1st January 1828, leaving four surviving
children, of whom her eldest daughter,
Mary Prior, born 1st of June 1770, married Richard Hayward
Alexander of Corsham and died 10th December 1866, leaving issue
two sons and a daughter, who restored this chancel in 1878, namely
Richard Chandler Alexander who in 1859 assumed the
surname of Prior of Halse,
George Alexander of Highworth and
Mary Anne who married Gabriel Goldney, M.P., of Beech
field, Corsham, the lay rector of this parish. 3

Abstract of the Will of John Hulbert of the Parish of Corsham in the County of Wilts, Clothier, written 7 Nov 1797, proved 22 Jul 1799. 4

Gives and bequeaths to his son John Gallimore Hulbert, his daughter Catherine Hart and his daughter Jane Hill all his estate real and personal to be equally divided between them.

Appoints his son John Gallimore Hulbert and son-in-law Richard Hill executors in trust of his last will and testament.

Witnesses: Wm. P-------, Jno Earle, Edwd Reynolds
