Abstract of the Will of Humfry Gallimore of the Parish of Saint Marilabone in the County of Middlesex, written 19 Aug 1744, proved 5 Sep 1744. 4

Gives to Mr. William Middleton of Lisson Green and John Winbush of Clear Market £550 South Sea Annuities in Trust for Mary 5 now the wife of Richard West, cheesemonger, at the corner of Kinsell Court, Drury Lane...

Gives to the said Richard West and John Winbush that Copyhold at Aldenham in co. Hertford currently occupied by John Tooley in Trust that they will receive the rent of the same and pay it to Sarah Boxall daughter of William and Ann Boxall. After Sarah Boxall dies he gives the Copyhold aforesaid to John Gallimore Hulburt, son of John Hulburt of Cossam [Corsham], clothier, and his heirs forever.

Gives to the said John Hulbert a further £50.

Gives to the said Richard West and John Winbush £1000 South Sea Annuities in Trust and receive the interest therefrom and pay one half thereof to Mary Allen, his servant, for the term of her natural life, and the other half to Ann and Hester Boxall, daughters of the aforesaidd William and Ann Boxall. And at the death of the said Mary Allen I give £200 to Elizabeth Steevens the wife of Edward Steevens....

Gives to his son-in-law Joseph Howell £100 and that house in Kingstreet near Golden Square during his natural life and to his wife and daughter after his death. He also gives to the said Joseph Howell all the furniture of the house he now lives in and three of his best suits of clothes, eighteen of his best shirts, and three of his best wigs and hat and all his small linen.

Gives the rest of his clothes and shirts to John Swift the drover as well as £5.

Gives £50 to Joseph Howell the son of the aforesaid Joseph Howell.

Gives £20 to Elizabeth Geayes daughter of John and Ann Geayes of Paddington.

Gives £20 to the children of John Higgenson to be equally divided among them.

Gives £10 to Richard Lambert.

Gives £10 each to his kinsmen Mr. Olliff Richmand, Mr. Thomas Hulburt and Mr. John Hulburt.

Gives £50 to the poor housekeepers of Wotton Bassett in Wiltshire.

Gives £50 to the Trustees of the hospital near Hyde Park Corner.

Gives to the aforesaid Richard West all his rings, his watch and plate and all his estate whatsoever and wheresoever, appointing him sole executor of his last will and testament.

He also forgives Peter Horsey all that debt that he owes.
