John Gallimore of Wootton Bassett, Gentleman, was named in the 1704 Will of his mother-in-law Joane Short of Wootton Bassett, widow, as husband of her daughter Joane.

Named as a beneficiary in the Will of his son-in-law Oliffe Richmond of Ashton Keynes, Gent. (written 1725, proved 1768).

Abstract of the Will of John Gallimore of Wootton Bassett, Gent., written 24 Mar 1729, proved 13 Oct 1733. ⁵

Gives, bequeaths & devises to Lewis Long of Wootton Bassett an annuity or yearly rent of £20, to have and to hold for the term of 80 years in Trust for his daughter Joane and her husband Oliffe Richmond, to be paid yearly during the said term at quarterly intervals.

Gives, bequeaths & devises to Lewis Long another annuity or yearly rent of £20, to have and to hold for the term of 90 years in Trust for his daughter Katherine and her husband Thomas Hulbert.

Gives, bequeaths & devises to his grandson Oliffe Richmond an annuity or yearly rent of £21...

Gives & bequeaths £200 each to his grandson Oliffe Richmond and to his granddaughters Joanna Richmond and Jane Richmond.

Gives & bequeaths £10 to his kinsman Humphry Gallimore.

Gives & bequeaths £10 to his nephew William Gallimore.

Gives & bequeaths to Martha Ogborne widow of Timothy Ogborne the Elder and William Ogborne the Elder and to their children 40 shillings to be equally divided among them.

Gives & bequeaths £20 to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of Wootton Bassett.

Gives & bequeaths £200 to his granddaughter Bridget Nicholas.

Gives, bequeaths & devises to his said granddaughter Bridget Nicholas such of his freehold messuages, lands, tenements & hereditaments and the residue of his goods and chattels and personal estate as shall make the sum of £400 which he advanced and gave to her on her marriage with Edward Nicholas.

All the rest and residue of his freehold messuages, lands, tenements & hereditaments and also the residue of his goods, chattels & personal estate he gives & bequeaths to his grandchildren Oliffe Richmond, Joanna Richmond, Jane Richmond, Thomas Hulbert, Jane Hulbert, John Hulbert & Betty Hulbert....

Nominates, constitutes and appoints his grandson Oliffe Richmond sole executor of his last will and testament.
