In 1792 Sarah Smith was bequeathed £50 from the Will of her late uncle William Sinnock of Bexhill, yeoman.

In 1802 Sarah Smith, spinster, and her natural-born daughter Mary Smith otherwise Stunt*, were beneficiaries of the Will of Sarah's late brother John Smith of Bexhill, yeoman.

* Mary was born 3 Jun 1800 in Bexhill and christened on 29 September following. She married land surveyor Henry Muzzell on 24 Aug 1827 in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex, England, and was buried on 8 Jan 1845 in Woodford, Essex, England, aged 44 years. Henry and Mary do not appear to have had any children.

Writing his Will in Aug 1819 Smith Crouch* of Hastings, gentleman, made bequests to 'all and every the children and child of John Crowhurst of Bexhill ... carpenter by his present wife who before her marriage was Sarah Smith spinster and Mary Smith otherwise Stunt a natural daughter of the said Sarah Crowhurst...'

* Smith Crouch (b. 1778 in Hastings) was Sarah's first cousin, the son of Lovell Crouch and Sarah's aunt Sarah Crouch (née Smith).
