At the time of the 1841 England Census Susannah Mepham, aged about 35, and husband Thos. Mepham, aged about 45, were living in Sidney Place, Poplar London. Neither Thomas nor Susannah were born in the County. With them were children: Thos. (15), messenger, Ritchard (14), Willm. (12), John (9), Saml. (7), Susannah (4), Heny. (1).
At the time of the 1851 England Census Susan Mepham, age 50, born in Witham Sussex, and husband Thomas Mepham, age 60, born in Battle Sussex, labourer, were living in Orchard Road, Bromley St. Leonard, Middlesex. With them were children (born in Middlesex): Richard (23), iron boat builder, John (19), apprentice, Saml. (17), messenger, Susan (14), Henry (9), and Elizabeth (7).
At the time of the 1861 England Census Susannah Mepham, age 60, born in Withyham Sussex, and husband Thomas Mepham, age 70, born in Battle Sussex, labourer, were living at 3 Bright Street, Bromley Middlesex. With them were children: Henry E (20) of Poplar Middlesex, iron boat rivetter, and Elizabeth (17) of Bromley Middlesex. Daughter Susan Harvey and her family were living at 5 Bright Street.
