In 1807 Ann the wife of Peter Ellis was left one guinea in her father's will, having already received her portion when she was married.

In January 1828 Ann Ellis, widow, was granted Administration of her late husband's personal estate during the minority of the executor, son William.

In 1851 Ann Ellis, aged 78, born in Gwithian Cornwall, widow, annuitant, was living in Little Sellan, Sancreed, Cornwall. With her were children Peter Veal Ellis (41) of Sancreed, unmarried, annuitant, William V Ellis (35) of Sancreed, unmarried, farmer of 50 acres employing 2 labourers, daughter Jane Hockin (46) of Gwithian, widow, annuitant, granddaughters Jane Hockin (20) of Gwithian, assists in the house, Mary Ann Hockin (18) of Gwithian, assists in the house.
