In 1828 Jane Ellis was a beneficiary of her father's will.

In 1832 Jane Hockin was named as a beneficiary in her husband's will, to receive £6.

In 1851 Jane Hockin, aged 46, born in Gwithian Cornwall, widow, annuitant, and daughters Jane Hockin (20) of Gwithian, assists in the house, Mary Ann Hockin (18) of Gwithian, assists in the house, were staying with Jane's widowed mother in Little Sellan, Sancreed, Cornwall.

In 1861 Jane Hockin, aged 57, born in Gwithian, farmer's widow, was with her daughter Mary Ann Marrack and her family in Tregonebris, Sancreed.

In April 1861 Jane Hockin of Tregonebris in the parish of Sancreed, widow, was granted Letters of Administration of personal estate of her late brother William Veale Ellis of Little Sellan.

The Will of Jane Hockin formerly of Sancreed but late of the parish of Illogan both in the county of Cornwall, widow, deceased, who died 12 May 1870 at Illogan aforesaid, was proved 8 August at Bodmin by the oaths of James Quick of Sancreed aforesaid, yeoman, and Richard Marrack of the borough of Truro in the county aforesaid, gentleman, the executors. Effects under £300. 2
