In 1828 William Veale Ellis was the sole executor and residuary legatee of his father's will.

In 1851 William V Ellis, aged 35, born in Sancreed Cornwall, unmarried, farmer of 50 acres employing 2 labourers, was with his widowed mother in Little Sellan, Sancreed.

In 1852 William Veale Ellis of Sancreed, gentleman, was granted Administration of his mother's personal estate.

In December 1859 Wm V Ellis was present at the marriage of his niece Mary Ann Hockin to Philip Marrack in Sancreed.
