In 1776 John Trevenen was a beneficiary of his father's will.

In 1790 John Trevenen of Helston in Cornwall, Esq. was co-executor of the will of his brother James Trevenen of Camborne, Esq.

In 1798 John Trevenen became a beneficiary of his mother's will, receiving £500.

In 1799 was a beneficiary of the will of his father-in-law William Sandys of Helston, Gent., who left him 10 guineas to buy a ring.

In 1816 John Trevenen, Esq. was co-executor of the will of his brother the Rev. Thomas Trevenen of Mawgan in Meneage.

Abstract of the Will of John Trevenen of the Borough of Helston in the County of Cornwall, Esquire, written 17 Apr 1823, proved 16 Mar 1825. ³

Gives to his wife 50 guineas and an annuity of £200.

Gives to his friends the Rev. Richard Gerveys Grylls and John Borlase, gentleman, the messuage where he now resides in Coinage Street in the borough of Helston, with the stable, garden, orchards and meadows, in trust, allowing for his wife to live at the premises during her natural life, and after her death, the same for any of his unmarried daughters, after which for the use of his son John Trevenen and his heirs forever.

Gives to his trustees the said Richard Gerveys Grylls and John Borlase the rest of his messuages, bartons, lands, tenements and hereditaments, real and personal estate, goods & chattels, to call in all debts, and if necessary to sell or mortgage any freehold, copyhold or leasehold premises, to raise the sum of £21,000 for the benefit of his children and relatives, giving £1,500 to his god-daughter Lydia Johns Trevenen, £2,000 to his son Edward Trevenen, £1,500 to his god-daughter Mary Sandys Grylls, £2,000 to his son James Trevenen, £2,000 to his son William Trevenen, £1,000 each to his daughters Charlotte Mary Trevenen, Jane Mary Trevenen and Harriet Mary Trevenen, and £3,000 to his son Thomas John Trevenen.

Appoints his son John Trevenen, and the said Richard Gervase Grylls and John Borlase, as co-executors in trust of his will.
