In 1851 William Vivian, aged 37, born in Gwinear Cornwall, clerk in iron foundery, and wife Ellen Vivian, aged 35, born in St. Erth Cornwall, were living at Foundery, St. Erth. With them were children (born in St. Erth) Ellen Freeman (10), scholar, Henry Willm. (9), scholar, Susan (7), scholar, Frank Jno. (5), scholar, James Freeman (2), and Elizb. Joanna (1).
In 1861 William Vivian, aged 47, born in Gwinear, grocer, and were wife Eleanor Vivian, aged 44, born in St. Erth, were at West Villa, Phillack, Cornwall. With them were children, (a) born in St. Erth: Henry W. (19), engine smith, Susan (17), grocer's assistant, Elizth. J. (11), scholar, Nanny (8), scholar, and (b) born in Phillack: Margaret Pearce (5), scholar, Charles A. (2). Present also was son-in-law James Michell (30) of Phillack, ship agent, and his wife Ellen F. (20), ship agent's wife.
In January 1864 William Vivian of Hayle, grocer, was sole executor of the will of his son-in-law James Michell of Falmouth, innkeeper.
