  Research Notes:

In 1841 William Hooper, aged about 40, copper miner, and wife Elizabeth (40), were living in Silverwell, St. Agnes Cornwall at the same address as William's parents. With them were children William (15), copper miner, Mary (15), tin dresser, Thomas (15), copper miner, Elizabeth (13), John (10), James (8), Richard (5), Samuel (2) and Ann (8 months).

In January 1845 Wm Hooper was present at the marriage of his son William to Jane Harris in St. Agnes.

In 1851 William Hooper, aged 52, born in St. Agnes Cornwall, copper miner, and wife Elizabeth, aged 51, born in St. Agnes, were living in Silverwell, St. Agnes. With them were children (born in St. Agnes) Elizabeth (22), John (20), copper miner, James (18), copper miner, Richard (15), tin miner, and Samuel (12), tin miner.

In 1861 William Hooper, aged 61, born in St. Agnes Cornwall, tin & copper miner, and wife Elizabeth, aged 60, born in St. Agnes, were living in Whitstreet, St. Agnes. With them was daughter Elizabeth (32) of St. Agnes, unmarried, dresssmaker.

The Will of William Hooper late of the parish of St. Agnes in the county of Cornwall, miner, deceased, who died 26 Jun 1863 at St. Agnes aforesaid, was proved 29 July at Bodmin by the oath of Elizabeth Hooper of St. Agnes aforesaid, widow, the relict, the sole executrix. Effects under £100. 2

  Marriage Information:

William married Elizabeth Kernick, daughter of Edward Kernick and Jenefer Hooper, on 21 Jan 1822 in Perranzabuloe, Cornwall. (Elizabeth Kernick was born about 1801 in St. Agnes, Cornwall, christened 11 Feb 1804 in Perranzabuloe, Cornwall and was buried on 25 Jul 1873 in Mithian, Cornwall, aged 74 years.)
