In 1851 Samuel Hooper, aged 12, born in St. Agnes Cornwall, tin miner, was with his parents in Silverwell, St. Agnes.

In 1861 Samuel Hooper, aged 22, born in St. Agnes Cornwall, tin miner, and wife Elizabeth, aged 26, born in St. Agnes, were living in Whitstreet, St. Agnes. With them was daughter Elizabeth (8 mths) of St. Agnes. Samuel's brothers John Hooper and Richard Hooper and their families were also in Whitstreet.

In 1871 Samuel Hooper, aged 32, born in St. Agnes Cornwall, tin miner, and wife Elizabeth, aged 36, born in St. Agnes, were living in Whit Street, St. Agnes. With them were daughters (born in St. Agnes) Elizabeth (10) and Mary (9).
