In 1841 Margaret Evans, aged about 40, and husband David Evans, aged about 40, mason, were living in Hen Gapel Maentwrog. Present were children: Rice (12), Catherine (10), Ann (8), Jane (5)

In 1851 Margaret Evans (53) of Llanbedr and David Evans (56) of Llanfair, ag lab, were living in the village of Gwynfryn in Llanbedr. Present was daughter Laura (9) of Maentwrog.
