John had an illegitimate daughter Margaret born in 1797. 3

John is not named in his father's Will (written 1829), so it is likely he died within his lifetime. There is no burial in the Llanbedr Parish Register and none in the Parish Register for Llanfair-juxta-Harlech between 1813 and 1829. John's father Evan made bequests to his grandchildren Griffith Evans, Jane Evans and Ellinor Barrow, who appear to have been John's children, as they were not the children of any of Evan's other sons or daughters. It is also noteworthy that Griffith Evans (Wynne), who is shown in the majority of the Censuses as having been born in Llanfair, was living and farming in Cwmyrafon with his family at the time of the 1841 Census, land which was bequeathed to John Evans (Wynne) in the Will of Griffith Evans of Cwmyrafon (above).
