With them were children Richard (7) of Pendoylan, scholar, William (5) of Llancarvan, scholar, Thomas (3) of Llancarvan, and Sarah (1) of Llancarvan.
In 1881 William Burton, aged 48, born in Pendoylan Glamorgan, gen: labourer, and wife Eliza Burton, aged 39, born in Wenvoe Glamorgan, were living in Crossways, Llancarvan Glamorgan.
