Abstract of the [last Codicil of the] Will of Humphrey Meredith of Pengwern in the Parish of Llanwnda and County of Caernarvon, Esqr., originally written 21 Mar 1757, below Codicil written 19 Apr 1766. 2
Initially directs that the sum of £1300 remainder of the sum of £2000 charge upon his estate be paid to and among his daughters Catherine, Jonet and Margaret, share and share alike.
Notes that his daughter Jonet has since become married and his daughter Catherine is since dead. He makes void the above bequest.
He directs instead that £100 (part of the said £1300) be paid to his daughter Ann, over and above the £100 already bequeathed to her in his will.
Directs that £600 be paid to his daughter Margaret in lieu of third part.
Directs that £100 be paid to his daughter Jonet over and above what portion has been advanced her in marriage.
Directs that 30 guineas be paid to his granddaughter Emma Meredith when she attains the age of twenty-one years.
Directs that £10 be paid to each of his grandchildren Richard Anwyl, Anne Anwyl & Jane Anwyl when they respectively reach the age of twenty-one years.
Directs that £10 be paid to each of his grandchildren Thomas Jones, Jane Jones & Margaret Jones, when they respectively reach the age of twenty-one years.
Directs that his wife Anne be the residuary legatee.
