In Sep 1799 Debora Avery was named as a beneficiary in her father's Will.
Writing his Will in Jul 1807 Samuel Avery bequeathed to his wife Deborah Avery an annuity of £15 as well the use and occupation of his tenement and the garden, orchard and other premises associated with it in Wartling. In 1828 Deborah Avery was the sole executrix of her husband's Will, the co-executor, her brother-in-law, Jesse Piper of the Red House in Pevensey, having deceased.

At the time of the 1841 England Census Deborah Avery, aged about 85, Ind[ependent], son Saml. Avery, aged about 45, Ind[ependent], and daughter Ann Britt, aged about 60, Ind[ependent], were living in Park Road, Wartling Sussex.
