Abstract of the Will of Samuel Avery of the Parish of Wartling in the County of Sussex, Husbandman, written 10 Jul 1807, proved 12 Mar 1828. 4

Gives and devises to his wife Deborah Avery, for the term of her natural life, the use and occupation of his tenement and the garden, orchard and other premises associated with it in Wartling. And after her death he gives and devises the same to his son Samuel Avery and his heirs.
He also gives to his said wife Deborah Avery an annuity of £15 for the term of her natural life.
Gives and bequeaths to his three children Samuel Avery, Ann Avery, and Mary Avery, all his household furniture, plate, linen and the rest of his personal effects, with the exception of ready monies or monies owing to him from securities. And following the death of his wife Deborah Avery he gives and bequeaths the said monies to his two daughters Ann Avery and Mary Avery, to be equally divided between them.
Appoints his said wife Deborah Avery and Jesse Piper of the Red House in the parish of Pevensey co-executors of his last will and testament.
