At the time of the 1861 England Census Jane Neve, aged 35, born in Warbleton Sussex, and husband Stephen Neve, aged 33, born in Battle Sussex, were living in Rushlake Green, Warbleton. With them were children (born in Warbleton) Mary J (4), scholar, Henry (2) and Frederic (9 mo).
At the time of the 1871 England Census Jane Neve, aged 45, born in Warbleton Sussex, tradesman's wife, and husband Stephen Neve, aged 43, born in Bexhill Sussex, mill wright employing 1 man, were living in Rushlake Green, Warbleton. With them were children (born in Warbleton) Mary Jane (14), Henry (12), scholar, James Herbert (3), and Ebenezer (1 mo).
At the time of the 1881 England Census Jane Neve, aged 55, born in Warbleton Sussex, and husband Stephen Neve, aged 54, born in Bexhill Sussex, master millwright emp 2 men, were living in Rehoboth Cottage, Warbleton. Present were children (born in Warbleton) Mary J (24), dressmaker, Henry (22), millwright, Frederick (20), millwright, Harriett E (18), unemployed, James H (14), scholar, and Ebenezer (10), scholar.
At the time of the 1891 England Census Jane Neve, aged 65, born in Warbleton Sussex, and husband Stephen Neve, aged 64, born in Bexhill Sussex, retired millwright, were living in Heathfield Sussex. With them was grandson Frank Billinness (8) of Warbleton.
At the time of the 1901 England Census Jane Neve, aged 75, born in Warbleton Sussex, widow, was with her daughter Mary J Baker and her family at 52 South Rd., Hailsham St. Mary, Sussex.

DEATH AND FUNERAL OF MRS. NEVE.—The death occurred during the early hours of Thursday morning, of last week, of Mrs. Neve, widow of the late Mr. Stephen Neve, of Warbleton. The deceased lady, who had reached the advanced age of 80 years, and resided with her son-in-law and daughter (Mr. and Mrs. E. Mockford) at Portland-square, for some months. She enjoyed good health until a few hours previous to her death, the cause of which was apoplexy. The funeral took place, amid many signs of respect, at the Ebenezer Baptist Chapel, where her husband, who predeceased her seven years ago, was for many years a deacon. A large concourse of people assembled to witness the last rites. The cortege consisted of a glass car containing the remains, followed by six carriages containing the relatives of the deceased, who comprised the following:—Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neve, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Neve (sons and daughters-in-law), Mr. Bert Neve (son), Mr. and Mrs. Baker (Hailsham), Mr. and Mrs. E. Mockford (sons-in-law and daughters), Mr. David Neve (brother-in-law, Fletching), Mrs. Bates (niece, Newick), Miss Bray (niece, Horley), Mr. and Mrs. Blackman (nephew and niece, Hastings), Mr. and Mrs. Hobbs (nephew and niece, Catsfield), Mr. James Habens (nephew) and Miss Kate Habens (niece, Tunbridge Wells), and Mr. and Mrs. Morris (Hove), and thirteen grand-children.... The coffin, which was borne by Messrs. Ashdown, Jabez Kemp, James Kemp, and A. Relf, was of polished elm with black furniture, and bore the following inscription:—"Jane Neve, died June 14th, 1906, aged 80 years."...
