HEATHFIELD MILLWRIGHT.
DEATH OF MR. FREDERICK NEVE.
By the death of Mr. Frederick Neve of Ross Cottage, Broad Oak, Heathfield, the county has lost a well-known millwright and engineer. Mr. Neve, who was 72 years of age, had been in business at Heathfield for about 40 years, coming from Warbleton, where his father for many years carried on a similar business. The millwright's and engineer's business is now being conducted by two of the deceased's sons, Messrs. F. J. and W. Neve, in the High-street, and the firm have carried out repairs to most of the windmills in East Sussex.
Mr. Neve had been a life-long attendant at the Ebenezer Baptist Chapel, Broad Oak, where he was for many years superintendent of the Sunday School, which he had attended as a boy. Mr. Neve was the secretary to the committee of the chapel, and one of its deacons. A widow, five sons and three daughters survive.
The funeral takes place at the chapel to-morrow (Saturday) at 2 p.m.
