At the time of the 1891 England Census Henry Neve, aged 32, born in Warbleton Sussex, millwright & engineer, and wife Fanny, aged 30, born in Heathfield Sussex, were living in Rehoboth Cottage, Warbleton. With them were children Mabel G (5) of Heathfield, and born in Warbleton: Olive (4), Jessie (3) and Clifford (10 months).
At the time of the 1901 England Census Henry Neve, aged 42, born in Warbleton Sussex, ironmonger (employer), and wife Fanny, aged 39, born in Heathfield Sussex, were living in Heathfield Station, Waldron Sussex. With them were children Mabel G (15) of Heathfield, assistant ironm., born in Warbleton: Olive (14), Jesse (13), scholar, and Clifford (10), scholar, and Henry F (1) of Waldron. Henry's brother, Frederick, and his family, were living nextdoor.
At the time of the 1911 England Census Henry Neve, aged 52, born in Warbleton Sussex, ironmonger (employer at home), and wife of 27 years Fanny, aged 49, born in Heathfield Sussex (mother of 6 children, 2 deceased), were living in Heathfield Station, Waldron Sussex. With them were children (all single) Mabel Grace (25) of Heathfield, assistant ironmonger, born in Warbleton: Olive (24), Jesse (13), scholar, and Clifford (20), solicitor's clerk, and Henry Frank (11) of Waldron, school.

HEATHFIELD GOLDEN WEDDING.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neve.
On Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neve, of "Mountain Ash," Heathfield, celebrated their golden wedding. They were married at the Ebenezer Strict Baptist Chapel, Broad Oak, Heathfield, on March 21st, 1884, by the late Mr. George Mockford, pastor, who was assisted by the late Mr. Vine, pastor of Zoar Chapel, the Dicker, Hellingly.
Mr. Neve is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Neve, of Rushlake Green. His father was a millwright and engineer. Mrs. Neve was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Piper, of Shawpits Farm, Hellingly.
Of a family of six children, a son and two daughters survive, and there is one grandchild.
Mr. and Mrs. Neve are worshippers at the chapel at Broad Oak. Mr. Neve has been connected with the chapel as a Sunday School scholar, and was a teacher. He has served on the management committee, and at present acts as pew opener regularly every Sunday.
Mr. Neve is the head of the well-known business of Neve Bros., engineers, ironmongers and poultry appliance manufacturers, which has existed on Station-hill, Heathfield, for over 40 years. Mr. Neve and his late brother, Mr. Frederick Neve, came from Warbleton and established this business.
Mr. Neve is not now actively engaged in the business, which is conducted by his son, Mr. Frank Neve, and daughter, Miss Grace Neve, but he is keenly interested in gardening and canary breeding. He has been a member of the Heathfield and District Horticultural Society since it was formed, serving on the committee for many years. He has had the honour of life membership conferred upon him. He is also well-known to fanciers throughout the country as a breeder and exhibitor of Roller canaries.
Mr. and Mrs. Neve celebrated the happy anniversary with a quiet family gathering on Wednesday.

MR. HENRY NEVE OF HEATHFIELD.
A prominent townsman for half a century and the oldest tradesman in Heathfield, Mr. Henry Neve (80) died last week. Coming from Warbleton, where his father was a well-known millwright, Mr. Neve opened the engineering works and ironmonger's stores at Heathfield, in conjunction with his late brother. Since he retired from active connection with the business, it has been carried on by his son and daughter. Mr. Neve was the inventor of the poultry cramming machine, now extensively used by fatteners in Sussex and elsewhere.
