In December 1830 Charles Spackman and [his wife] Mary Ann Spackman were present at the marriage of Charles's sister Amelia Spackman to Richard Smith in Cheltenham St. Mary Gloucestershire.
In August 1847 Chas. Spackman was present at the marriage of his son Charles William Spackman to Mary Grant in Cheltenham St. Mary.
At the time of the 1851 England Census Charles Spackman, aged 53, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, plasterer [employing] 4 men, and wife Ann, aged 33, born in Greeting Gloucesters, were living at 30 Portland Square, Cheltenham Gloucester. With them were children (born in Cheltenham) Julia (12), Joyce (11), Ann Mary (9), Thomas (6), Mary Hanh. (4) and Elizabeth (1).

Abstract of the Will of Charles Spackman of Cheltenham in the County of Gloucester, Plasterer, written 4 Oct 1848, proved 13 Feb 1852. 6
Appoints his son Charles William Spackman and his friend James Downing of Cheltenham, draper, as co-executors of his last will and testament, to whom he gives & bequeaths all his real and personal estate to hold in trust and convert into money to be invested in Government or real security.
Directs his trustees to pay his wife Ann out of the proceeds of the rents and profits of his real estate, for the term of her natural life. And after her death he wills the same to be shared equally between all his children.
