Writing his Will in December 1829 Thomas Tuff of Wootton Bassett, gardener, named Benjamin Spackman as the husband of Thomas's daughter Ann.
At the time of the 1841 England Census Benjamin Spackman, aged 75, born in the county, plasterer, was living in High Street, Wootton Bassett Wilts.
At the time of the 1851 England Census Benjamin Spackman, aged 86, born in Charlton Wilts, widower, formerly plasterer and tiler, was living in High Street, Wootton Bassett. With him was godson George Baker (17) of Wootton Bassett, ag labourer.
