  Research Notes:

In 1804 William Taylor, eldest son and heir of William Taylor of Wootton Bassett, was bequeathed in his father's will the house his father lives in.

In 1827 William Taylor of Wootton Bassett, plasterer, and his wife Ann, were witnesses to the Will of Robert Little of Wootton Bassett, carpenter.

In 1841 William Taylor, aged about 50, slater & plasterer, and wife Ann, aged about 50, were living in High Street Wootton Bassett. With them were children: George (23), slater, Mary (20), Walter (16), tiler, Thos. (14), Emily (18), Ann (12).

In 1851 William Taylor, aged 65, born in Wootton Bassett, tiler & plasterer, and wife Anne, aged 65, born in Wootton Bassett were living in High Street Wootton Bassett. With them was son Walter (27) of Wootton Bassett, married, tiler & plasterer, and grandson Edward Taylor (4) of Wootton Bassett.

In 1861 William Taylor, aged 74, born in Wootton Bassett, plasterer, widower, and daughter Emily Taylor (40) of Wootton Bassett, unmarried, housekeeper, were living in High Street Wootton Bassett.
