Ann Hinder
- Born: Abt 1787, Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, England
- Married: 22 Jul 1809, Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, England 1
- Buried: 25 Aug 1860, Wootton Bassett St. Bartholomew All Saints, Wiltshire, England 2
Research Notes:
The only Ann Hinder shown in the Parish Registers for Wilts and was born at the correct time to have been this Ann Hinder, was christened in Purton Wilts in January 1787, daughter of Harry (Henry) Hinder and Ann. However, Henry Hinder and his wife Ann left Wills (in 1807 and 1836 respectively); neither of them names a daughter Ann, nor is she mentioned in the Wills of the other children of this couple. It seems unlikely that Ann was born in Wootton Bassett as there are no other members of the Hinder family recorded in the parish register for baptisms, only in the nearby parishes of Purton, Lydiard Millicent and Broad Hinton, noting that Ann was living in Broad Hinton at the time of her marriage.
