Abstract of the Will of Richard Bristed of 187 Tottenham Court Road in the County of Middlesex, Gentleman, written 12 Dec 1829 (followed by Codicils dated 20 Nov 1832 and 21 Feb 1837), proved 3 Feb 1844. 7
Gives and bequeaths his silver watch with the chain and seals, his writing desk with the name of Wood thereon to his son Harry Richard Bristed.
Gives his household goods and furniture, plate and plated articles, linen, china, books, prints, wines, liquors, coal and fuel to his wife Sarah Esther Bristed.
Gives and bequeaths all the rest of his estate and effects to John Buckmaster of Shoe Lane in the City of London, publican, George Manders of Lyon Street Bloomsbury in co. Middlesex, gentleman, and William Self of Crown Street Finsbury Square in co. Middlesex, auctioneer, upon Trust, paying them £50 each for their efforts, as well as a sufficient sum to buy them each a suit of mourning.
Directs his Trustees to purchase three percent consolidated bank annuities, and to apply the dividends thereof toward the lodging, maintaining and support of his son Francis Richard Bristed for the term of his natural life as the said Francis "is unfortunately irreparable from mental weakness" such that he cannot manage his own affairs.
Directs his Trustees to purchase a further three percent consolidated bank annuities as will be sufficient to produce an annual dividend of £150, and to pay the income from said dividends to his wife Sarah Esther Bristed during her natural life.
Wills that his Trustees make provision for his daughter Fanny Tullet and any children she may end up having.
Appoints the said John Buckmaster, George Manders and William Self co-executors of his will.

Gives and bequeaths £5 each to Richard Styant son of the said Selia Styant, to Stephen Britcher son of the said Mercy Britcher, and to Elizabeth Britcher daughter of the said Mercy Britcher.
