  • Buried: 8 Apr 1778, St. Nicholas, Otham, Kent, England 3

  General Notes:

Compiler's 5 x great-grandmother

  Research Notes:

Probably Sarah George, christened 27 Dec 1741 in All Saints, Maidstone, daughter of Sarah George, widow. As such, the father would have to have died in the months preceding Sarah's christening. A William George was buried just over a month earlier on 24 Nov 1741 in the same place. On 15 Jun 1741 Wm. George of Wheldom [cf. Weldon] in Kent, bachelor, married Sarah Phillips, spinster, in London England. This is the only marriage of a William George and Sarah within the relevant time period. As there are no records of (other) children of William and Sarah, this would make Sarah George their only child.
