Co-executor and beneficiary of his father's Will (1637)
In 1664 Henry Carpenter paid 4 shillings tax for two hearths.
In Jan 1674/5 Henry Carpenter with William Trannick took inventory of the goods and chattels of Henry's brother-in-law John Kittoe Junr. of Crowan.
In 1684 Henry Carpenter was named in the Will of his father-in-law John Kittow of Illogan as the father of Anne Carpenter, whom John Kittow appointed sole executrix of his Will.
In Jun 1694 Henry Carpenter with Andrew Trounsen took inventory of the goods and chattels of his brother Thomas Carpenter of Illogan, weaver.

In the name of God Amen I Henry Carpenter of the Parish of Gwiniar in the County of Cornwall being of perfect mind & memory doe make & ordain this my Last will and testament in manner & forme following, first I bequeath my soul into the hands of Allmighty God that gave itt & my body to Christian burial.
Item. I give to my dear wife Anne Carpenter my Tenement in Tregajoran in the Parish of Illogan during her natural life, butt if shee happen to marry shee shall have six pounds a year out of the said Tenement to be paid her by quarterly payments by my Executor here after named.
Item. I give my said wife the bed I usually lye on with all the furniture thereunto belonging for her use during her life which shall after her decease be restored back again to my executor.
Item. I give to my son Henry Carpenter one shilling.
Item. I give to my son John Carpenter one shilling.
Item. I give to my son Richard Carpenter one shilling.
Item. I give to my daughter Anne Whear one shilling.
Item. I give to my daughter Sidwell Arthur ten pounds to be paid her two years after my decease butt if the said Sidwell Arthur shall happen to dye before the said money shall become due then to her child or children.
Item. I give to my daughter Mary Carpenter twenty five pounds to be paid her three years after my decease.
Item. I give to my son Thomas Carpenter all the rest of my goods and chattels that are not herein before bequeathed, revoking and disannulling all former wills by mee made I doe hereby ordain constitute & appoint him the said Thomas Carpenter the whole & sole Executor of this my said will & testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seal this fifteenth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & seven.
