In 1771 Cordelia Grylls was co-executor of her husband's will, receiving £100 along with her gold watch, rings, jewelry and clothing, a horse and saddle, and the use of all the household goods and furniture during her widowhood. He also gave to her his leasehold fields in the parish of Sithney and a leasehold stable in Helston.

Abstract of the Will of Cordelia Grylls of the Borough of Helston in the County of Cornwall, Widow, written 10 Jan 1801, proved 12 Apr 1802. 6

Refers to Indentures of Lease and Release dated 28 and 29 Aug 1795, being a conveyance of all her manors, tenements, land and hereditaments to her sons Richard Gerveys Grylls and Thomas Grylls.

Gives and bequeaths £3,000 to John Borlase of Helston, gent. in trust to pay the yearly interest to her daughter Cordelia Trevenen, her husband the Rev. Thomas Trevenen and their daughter Emily Trevenen and her heirs. And in default of issue she wills the same be paid to Richard Gerveys Grylls and Thomas Grylls.

Gives to her daughter Trevenen the cabinet that belonged to her own mother, along with her glass fruit basket and two pictures of her mother and father.

Gives to her son-in-law Thomas Trevenen her worked elbow chair that was her brother's, as well as 10 guineas.

Gives and bequeaths £2000 to the said John Borlase in trust to pay the yearly interest to her daughter Sarah Grylls and her heirs. And in default of issue she wills the same be paid to Richard Gerveys Grylls and Thomas Grylls.

Gives to her daughter Sarah Grylls £200 along with an annuity of £50, what is left of the Wedgewood Ware dinner and desert set that was her brother's, and the blue & white china tea set that belonged to her cousin Usticke. Likewise gives to Sarah her tea chest, quadrille boxes that were her brother's, her silver tea pot and milk cup that was her cousin Usticke's, a sugar basket, toast rack, fish knife, twelve teaspoons and sugar tongs that were her brother's, a pair of old fluted silver candlesticks and other items.

Gives £500 to her son Richard Gerveys Grylls, along with her two fields in the parish of Sithney given to her in her late husband's will. She also gives him the silver tea urn, her silver-handled knives & forks, a pair of silver candlesticks that were her brother's, all the liquor, all her household furniture, linen and china, and all her horses and cows.

Gives to her son Thomas Grylls her silver breadbasket that was her brother's, a pair of silver candlesticks, and a book of pictures that was her son Matthew's.

Gives to her sons Richard Gerveys Grylls and Thomas Grylls all the plate was her brother's.

Gives to her two daughters Cordelia Trevenen and Sarah Grylls her rings, earrings, necklaces and trinkets, all pieces of all gold and silver coins, and gold and silver lace.

Gives an annuity of 5 guineas to Miss Cecilia Allen of Flushing for as long as she lives.

Gives 5 guineas to Miss Jane Usticke of Penzance in remembrance of her. In the first codicil to her will Cordelia changes this to an annuity of 4 guineas.

Gives 5 guineas to Elizabeth Tremearne (she thinks she is called), daughter of her cousin Catherine Tremearne of St. Ives, in remembrance of her.

Gives 10 guineas to her granddaughter Frances Grylls.

Gives 5 guineas each to her granddaughters Emily Trevenen and Mary Grylls.

Gives 10 guineas to each of her grandsons.

All the rest of her personal and real estate she gives, devises and bequeaths to her two sons Richard Gerveys Grylls and Thomas Grylls, making them co-executors of her last will and testament.
