In 1742 James was a residuary legatee of the will of his maternal grandfather James Kempthorne of Mullion.
In 1750 James Kempthorn Pascow was a beneficiary of the will of his paternal grandfather Bennett Pascoe, who left him £10, to be paid to him when he turns twenty-one.
In 1771 James Kempthorne Pascoe was co-executor and a residuary legatee of his father's will.
In 1788/9 James Kempthorne Pascoe was co-executor and trustee of the will of his brother Bennet Pascoe of Helston.
