In 1891 Richard Cogar of Penzance, banker's clerk, was sole executor of his father's will.
In 1901 Richard Seymour Cogar, aged 55, born in St. Ives, banker's clerk, and wife Henrietta Cogar, born in St. Ives, were living at 8 North Parade, Penzance, Cornwall. With them were children (single): Henry Andrew (30) of St. Ives, draper's assistant, Henrietta Morton (25) of Penzance, Madeliine Morton (20) of Penzance, and Richard Vivian Seymour (17) of Penzance, banker's clerk. Visiting was Ronald Macpherson Ball* (26) of Portugal, single, commercial traveller.

In 1921 Richard Seymour Cogar, aged 75 years 7 months, bank accountant (retired), and wife Henrietta Cogar, aged 73 years 8 months, born in St. Ives, were with their daughter Madeline Morton Cannon and her husband Arthur Charles Cannon, chemist, druggist and qualified ophthalmic optician, at 31 Boscawen St., Truro, Cornwall.

DEATH OF MR. R. S. COGAR AT TRURO
The death occurred yesterday, of Mr. Richard Seymour Cogar, aged 81, a native of St. Ives, who passed away at the residence of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Cannon, 31, Boscawen-street, Truro. Mr. Cogar had only resided in Truro a short time, coming to the city soon after his retirement over eight years ago. Associated with banking, he first served at St. Ives in Bolitho's Bank (now amalgamated with Barclays Bank), and after leaving St. Ives was for 52 years at Penzance, from whence he retired. In his early days Mr. Cogar was a keen cricketer. Predeceased by his wife two years ago, he leaves one son, Mr. H. A. Cogar, Winnipeg, Canada, and two daughters, Mesdames R. MacPherson Ball (Perranporth), and A. C. Cannon. The funeral will take place at Kenwyn, to-morrow (Friday), at 2 p.m.
