In 1871 Eliza V. Kernick, aged 35, born in St. Ives, and husband Waterhouse Kernick, aged 41, born in St. Ives, letterpress printer employing 1 boy, were living in Fore Street, St. Ives. With them were children (born in St. Ives) Eliza V. (13), scholar, Waterhouse (12), scholar, Elizabeth A. (10), scholar, Anna J. (6), scholar, Richard K. (4), scholar, Sarah V. (2) and Mary (1 mo).
In July 1872 Eliza Vivian Kernick was present at the marriage of her sister Sarah Elizabeth Cogar to Matthew Stevens in St. Ives, Cornwall.
In 1881 Eliza V. Kernick, aged 45, born in St. Ives, and husband Waterhouse Kernick, aged 51, born in St. Ives, letter press printer, were living in Fore Street, St. Ives. Present were children (born in St. Ives) Eliza V. (23), schoolmistress, Waterhouse (22), letter press printer, Elizabeth A. (20), Richard (14), scholar, Sarah V. (12), scholar, and John M. (5), scholar.
In 1891 Eliza Kernick, aged 55, born in St. Ives Cornwall, and husband Waterhouse Kenrick, aged 61, born in St. Ives, C.C. secretary to gas works, were at 44 Wood Street, Birmingham, Warwickshire. With them were children (born in St. Ives, single) Elizh. Ann (30), dress milliner, Ann Jane (25), C.C. clerk, Richard (24), manager, John M. 15), clerk.
In 1911 Eliza Vivian Kernick, aged 75, born in St. Ives, widow (mother of 9 children, 4 deceased), was at 34 Gillott Rd., Birmingham. With her was daughter Elizabeth Ann Kernick (50) of St. Ives, single, milliner.

The death is announced of Mrs. E. V. Kernick, widow of the late Mr. Waterhouse Kernick, formerly of St. Ives, and daughter of Mr. Thomas Cogar, a former Mayor of St. Ives. In February, 1882, the deceased (with her husband and family) removed to Birmingham, where she died. Although she had attained the ripe old age of 83, she maintained almost to the last a somewhat remarkable activity both in mind and body. The interment took place at Smethwick.
