In 1881 William Hawken, aged 30, born in St. Ervan Cornwall, warehouseman, and wife Laura G. Hawken, aged 29, born in Perran Cornwall, were living at 12 Cuthill Rd., Camberwell, Surrey. Present were mother-in-law Elizabeth Ould (67) of Perran, widow, niece Letitia E. Kingwell (7) of Camberwell, and brother Thomas H. Hawken (28) of St. Ervan, single, draper.

In 1891 William Hawken, aged 40, born in St. Ervan Cornwall, warehouseman drapery business, and wife Laura G Hawken, aged 40, born in Perranaworthal Cornwall, were living at 206 The Grove, Camberwell. With them were niece Elizabeth L. Kingwell (17) of Camberwell, scholar, and m[other] in law Elizabeth Ould (77) of Perranaworthal, wid.

In 1901 William Hawken, aged 49, born in St. Ervan, lace merchant (own account), and (second) wife Charlotte Hawken, aged 38, born in India, were living at 200 Camberwell Grove, Camberwell. With them were Charlotte's daughters Marjorie Edsall (13) of Enfield Middlesex, and Winifred Edsall (11) of St. Gerrans? Cornwall, and aunt Hannah Ibbott (71) of Truro Cornwall, widow, living on own means.

In 1911 William Hawken, aged 58, born in St. Ervan, draper's warehouseman, and wife of 12 years Charlotte Hannah Hawken, aged 48, born in India, were living in Camberwell Surrey. With them was son Francis Treleaven Hawken (7) of Camberwell.

In 1921 William Hawken, aged 69 years 8 months, born in St. Ervan Cornwall, lace agent (own account), and wife Charlotte Hawken, aged 58 years 4 months, born in Benares India, were living at 200 Camberwell Grove, Camberwell Surrey. With them was son Frances T Hawken (18y 1m) of 200 the Grove Camberwell, farm improver.
