In 1901 Richard A. Thomas, aged 34, born in Camborne Cornwall, single, mining engineer, was with his widowed father at Cliff Villa, Uny Lelant, Cornwall.

In April 1902 Richard Arthur Thomas, mining-engineer, was granted Probate of his late father's personal estate.

In 1911 Richard Arthur Thomas, aged 44, born in Camborne, mining engineer, manager of tin mine, and wife of 8¾ years Edith Mary Thomas, aged 35, born in Wolverhampton (mother of 3 children) were living in Polstrong House, Camborne. With them were sons (born in Camborne) Arthur Leonard (8), Charles Trevor (6) and Ernest Boyd (3).

Richard Arthur Thomas, age 58, born in Camborne, arrived in Quebec per the ship Caronia on 30 __ 1924.

In the 1939 Register Richard A Thomas (b. 10 Nov 1866), retired mining engineer, and wife Edith M Thomas (b. 13 Sep 1875), married woman, were living in Polstrong, Camborne. At the same address were (son) Ernest B. Thomas (b. 3 Aug 1907), married, inspector of mines, Malaya, awaiting ship to join the colony, and his wife Phyllis M Thomas (b. 3 Feb 1915), and one record officially closed.
