"On Sunday last, Mr. Norman Richards, one of the foundation members of the Western Australian Association of Railway Employees, died at Fremantle from tetanus. The deceased was buried yesterday afternoon in the Anglican portion of the Fremantle cemetery, the service at the grave being conducted by Archdeacon Watkins. The funeral was attended by Mr. E. Casson, the general secretary of the Railway Association; Mr. F. Gates, the editor of the "Railway News," and a number of railway employees. The late Mr. Richards, who was thirty-six years of age at the time of his death was married only two months ago. He was well-known in cricket and football circles in Adelaide, and on one occasion he was a member of a South Australian inter-State cricket team." 5
