  Research Notes:

In 1841 Mary Blight, aged about 57, born in the county, Ind[ependent], was living in Broad Lane, Illogan, Cornwall. With her were children Stephen (30), farmer, John (27), miner, Jemima (20), William (18), cop miner. (Daughter Jane Trescowthick and her daughter Jane were nextdoor.)

In 1851 Mary Blight, aged 66, born in Illogan, widow, was living in Broad Lane, Illogan. With her were son John (34) of Illogan, unmarried, grocer & farmer of 8 acres, granddaughter Sarah Hambly (18) of Illogan, farmer's daughter, and grandson John Hambly (14) of Illogan, farmer's son.

In 1856 Mary Blight was a beneficiary of the will of her son Stephen Blight, receiving an annuity of £3.

In 1861 Mary Blight, aged 75, born in Illogan, widow, house keeper, was with her son John Blight at Grocer's Shop, Illogan, Cornwall.

In 1871 Mary Blight, aged 86, born in Illogan, widow, was with her son John Blight at Illogan Highway, Illogan.
