The marriage of Miss Eileen Constance Atherton, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Atherton, Summerdale, to Mr. Joseph Henry Cunningham, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H Cunningham, Melton, Victoria, was celebrated at 3 o'clock on Tuesday, 6th September, at St. Paul's Cathedral. The cathedral was prettily decorated by the friends of the bride with pink and white sweetpeas and asparagus fern. The Rev. Canon J. A. Cue officiated. Mr. Cooper, who presided at the organ, played "The Wedding March." The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty frock of white duchess mousseline. The skirt was made in three-tier style, scalloped and beaded. The bodice bad georgette sleeves beaded. The costume was finished with a girdle of pink and white hand-made flowers. The bride also wore a large white aerophane hat, relieved with pale-pink and white flowers, white wheat and long white ribbon streamers. She carried a bouquet of white roses and maidenhair fern, with white streamers. Miss Cunningham (sister: of the bridegroom) and Miss Marie Atherton (sister of the bride) were bridesmaids. Miss Cunningham wore a dainty frock of shell-pink crepe-de-chene and georgette, with an aceordeon pleated skirt, finished with a rainbow beaded girdle. Her hat was of black satin with a rainbow wreath of fruit. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, maidenhair fern and pink streamers. Miss Marie Atherton wore pretty blue crepe ninon.... Her hat was of pale-blue straw, finished witih pale-blue and pink ribhon and touches of heather. She carried a bouquet of pink and white sweetpeas, maidenhair fern and pink and blue ribbon. Mrs. Atherton (mother of the bride) wore a dress of purple bengoline, with figured foulard panels and a black panne velvet hat. Mr. J. Atherton (brother of the bride) was best man. After the ceremony, the bridal party adjourned to Summerdale. Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham left later for Emu Park, where the honeyfoon will be spent. The bride travelled in a smart grey accordeon-pleated skirt with a grey knitted silk jumper and a grey ribbon hat, with hand-made flowers to harmonise.

A wedding that attracted a consider able amount of interest amongst a large circle of friends in Rockhampton was celebrated at St. Paul's Cathedral on Monday last (the sth instant), between Miss Bileen Constance Atherton, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Atfa«rton, : Stfmmerdale, James-street, The Range, Rockhampton, and Mr. Joseph Hsnry Cunningham, accountant in the local branch of the Commercial Bank of Aus tralia, and only son of Mr. and Mrs. "3. H. Cunningham, of Melbourne... The Cathedral was tastefully decorated for the occasion by the bride's girl friends. Miss Gertrude Cunningham, of Melbourne (the bridegroom's sister), and Miss Marie Atherton (sister of the bride) were in attendance as bridesmaids. Mr. J. M. Atherton (the bride's brother) undertook the duties of best man. After the wedding breakfast had been served at the residence of tiie bride's parents and the customary toasts honoured, the bride and bridegroom left for Emu Park, where the honeymoon is being spent.
