In 1881 William Atherton (13) of Wigan, scholar, was with his brother John (24), plumber employing 2 men & 8 boys, at 17 St. Thomas St., Wigan, Lancashire.
According to the Australian Electoral Rolls, from 1906 through 1913 William Atherton, chemist, and wife Ealey Atherton, housewife, were living in Upper Dawson road, Rockhampton, QLD.
