NOTICE is hereby given, that the PARTNERSHIP heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned JAMES MOTLEY and SMITH MOTLEY, lately carrying on a Business as Farmers at COVENHAM, in the county of Lincoln, was on the Sixth day of April last DISSOLVED, by mutual consent.

In 1871 Smith Motley (32) of Covenham, Gent, and wife Betsy (24) of Tetney, were living in Grange Farm, Covenham St. Bartholomew. Present were children (both born in Covenham St. Bartholomew): Ealy (3), Tom (3 days). Smith's brother James was in Grange Cottage.
In 1881 Smith Motley (39) of Covenham, farmer of 210 acres employing 3 men, and wife Betsy (34) of Tetney, were living in Fulstow. Present were children born (a) in Covenham: Ealy (13), scholar, Catherine A. (11), scholar, Thomas (10), scholar, and (b) in Fulstow: Selina (8), scholar, Adelena M. (7), scholar, George C. (4), and father-in-law John Crowston (74) of Holton-le-Clay, blind, annuitant.

DEATH OF MR. S MOTLEY
Mr. Smith Motley, proprietor of the wood depot at North Rockhampton, died yesterday. The deceased, who was sixty nine years of age, was a son of Mr. Thomas Motley, of The Priory, Covenham, Lincolnshire. After a lengthened experience of farming in England and America, he came to Queensland in 1887 with his wife and family of three sons and four daughters. After embarking in various businesses in different parts of the Central Division, he settled down to farming again at Eagle Hill, near Gracemere. where he resided for twelve years. He had the usual disastrous fight against bad seasons and eventually relinquished country pursuits and took up his residence in Rockhampton. For the last four months he had been gradually failing from heart disease. Mr. Motley is survived by his widow and the following sons and daughters:—Mrs. Atherton, wife of Mr. W. Atherton, Rockhampton ; Mrs. Thurlow, wife of the Rev. T. R. Thurlow, Toowong, Brisbane ; Mrs. Steed, wife of Mr. S. Steed, Wallaroo ; Mrs. Motley, wife of Mr. T. Motley, North Rockhampton ; Mr. G. Motley, Mount Morgan; Mr. G. Motley, New Zealand ; and Mr. H. Motley, Covenham, England.
