At the time of the 1861 England Census Frances Cooper, aged 12, born in Wincanton Somerset, was with her widowed father in South Street, Wincanton.

In April 1867 Frances Cooper was present at the marriage of her sister Mary Florence Cooper to George William Fleetwood Bury in Wincanton Somerset.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Frances Cardell, aged 22, born in Wincanton Somerset, surgeon's wife, and husband George Cardell, aged 35, general practitioner, M.R.C.S.E., were living in South Street, Wincanton. With them were children (born in Wincanton) Edward Stewart (8 months) and Catherine Margaret (8 months).

At the time of the 1881 England Census Frances Horner, aged 31, born in Wincanton Somersetshire, and husband Arthur Clayton Horner, aged 31, born in Everton Bedfordshire, general medical practitioner, Member of Royal College of Surgeons England, Licentiate of Royal College of Physicians London, were living in High Street, Tonbridge Kent. Present were children (a) born in Wincanton: Catherine Margaret Cardell (10), scholar, Edward Stewart Cardell (10), scholar, Maurice George Cardell (9), scholar, and (b) born in Tonbridge Kent: Amy Diana Frances Horner (9 months).

At the time of the 1891 England Census Frances Horner, aged 40, born in Wincanton Somersetshire, and husband Arthur Horner, aged 40, born in Everton Bedfordshire, registered medical practitioner, were living at 137 High Street, Tonbridge Kent. With them was son Norman G (9) of Tonbridge.

In September 1893 Frances Horner, widow, was granted Administration of the personal effects of her late husband Arthur Claypon Horner.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Frances Horner, aged 51, born in Wincanton Somerset, widow, was with her son Edward S Cardell (30) of Wincanton, medical practitioner. Frances's other children Kathleen M Cardell (30), Amy D K Horner (20), and Norman G Horner (19), medical student, were also present.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Frances Horner, aged 62, born in Wincanton Somerset, widow, mother of 5 children, manages house, was with her son Edward Stewart Cardell (40) of Wincanton, medical practitioner, in "Lyons," Tonbridge Kent. Frances's daughter Catherine Margaret Cardell (40) of Wincanton, single, was also present.

Death of Mrs. F. Horner.—We regret to record the death of Mrs. Frances Horner, who passed away in a nursing home at Tunbridge Wells on Wednesday, after a long illness. Deceased lady was twice married, her first husband being Mr. Cardell, father of Dr. E. S. Cardell, East Street. Her second husband was Dr. Horner, whose practice when he died in 1892 was taken over by his stepson, Dr. Cardell. The funeral will take place on Saturday at 12 o'clock, when the Rev. S. H. Clark will conduct a preliminary service in the Parish Church.
