At the time of the 1881 England Census Arthur Clayton Horner, aged 31, born in Everton Bedfordshire, general medical practitioner, Member of Royal College of Surgeons England, Licentiate of Royal College of Physicians London, and wife Frances Horner, aged 31, born in Wincanton Somersetshire, were living in High Street, Tonbridge Kent. Present were children (a) born in Wincanton: Catherine Margaret Cardell (10), scholar, Edward Stewart Cardell (10), scholar, Maurice George Cardell (9), scholar, and (b) born in Tonbridge Kent: Amy Diana Frances Horner (9 months).
At the time of the 1891 England Census Arthur Horner, aged 40, born in Everton Bedfordshire, registered medical practitioner, and wife Frances Horner, aged 40, born in Wincanton Somersetshire, were living at 137 High Street, Tonbridge Kent. With them was son Norman G (9) of Tonbridge.
