  Research Notes:

Joined the New South Wales Police Force; stationed at Deniliquin, Moulamein, Gundagai, Batlow and Bowna; then officer in charge at Tumbarumba 1895-1900, Germanton (later known as Holbrook) in 1910 and at Wagga Wagga from 1911 (after eighteen months off duty) at first on mounted duty but discontinued country patrol work in 1915 and took up foot duty in town; during World War I was detailed to attend to recruiting work in Wagga Wagga (DA Jan 7 & 29, 1915); later at Narrandera; retired in 1916. Lived in Sydney in 1926.
