HELY—THORNBURNE

The wedding of Germanton residents took place in Wagga on Wednesday, at St. John's Church, when the Rev. Canon Pike married John Hely, eldest son of Sergeant and Mrs. Hely, of Wagga, to Gertrude Hope, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Thorburne, of "Heatherlea," Tintaldra. Miss Ismay Thorburne, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, while Mr. Norman Hely, the groom's brother, was best man.

After the ceremony, those present repaired to the Wagga Hotel, where the wedding breakfast was laid. The usual toasts proper to the occasion were proposed and honored and every kind of good wish was showered upon Mr. and Mrs. Hely. After the breakfast, they left for Sydney, where the honeymoon is to be spent.... 7
