In 1753 John Garnons was named as one of the Trustees of the last will and testament of his brother-in-law Griffith Pryse of Ty yn y Coed, Gent.

Attorney-at-law and Prothonotary for North Wales. In 1763 he was elected and honorary member and "Solicitor General" of the Glynllivon Volunteers. In 1751 he and his son, Griffith, were appointly jointly and severally Clerk of the Peace for Merioneth. 4
