John Vaughan of Penmaen in the parish of Towyn, Gent. died intestate. An inventory of his goods, chattels & personal estate was taken 2 Aug 1805.
A bond of £896 was paid by Jane Vaughan of Penmaen, spinster, John Davies Rector of Cemmaes in the county of Montgomery and Richard Hughes Rector of Dolgelley in the county of Merioneth.
On 28 Apr 1807, personally appeared Jane Vaughan and alleged that John Vaughan late of Penmaen in the parish of Towyn in the county of Merioneth Esqr died in the year 1806 intestate, without making a will, and that she is the natural and lawful daughter of the said deceased... Administration was granted to Jane Vaughan, she being first personally sworn on the Holy Evangelists as the Law directs, and that the whole of the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £450.
