Abstract of the Will of Anne Vaughan of Bryn Cottage in the Parish of Pennal in the County of Merioneth, Spinster, written 2 Mar 1843, proved 6 Apr 1846.
Gives & bequeaths £100 to Emily Letitia Mary Anne Thruston, second daughter of Charles Thomas Thruston Esquire of Talgarth in county Merioneth.
Gives & bequeaths to £50 to her servant Jane Davies currently living with her, as well as a bedstead and feather bed.
Gives & bequeaths £500 to her friend Richard Matthews of Esgair . . . . . . . in the said parish of Pennal Gentleman currently secured upon the Aberystwyth Turnpike Trust and also a mahogany bureau that is in her bedroom.
Gives & devises all her real estate in the county of Montgomery to the Reverend William Poole perpetual curate of Llanfihangel in the Isle and county of Anglesey Clerk son of the late William Poole of Caernarvon and to his heirs and assigns for ever...
Gives & devises to Juliana Hughes and Catharine Hughes of Machynlleth in the said county of Montgomery spinsters and daughters of the late Reverend Richard Hughes rector of Dolgelley the house called Bryn Cottage in the parish of Pennal together with the yard outhouse part of which garden has formerly been exchanged or agreed to have been exchanged with her nephew John Vaughan of Penmaen Dovey in the said county of Merioneth Esquire for a certain tenement in the parish of Pennal now in the occupation of Thomas Jones carpenter...
Gives & bequeaths the rest & residue of her personal estate to the said Richard Matthews his executors, administrators & assigns and appoints him sole executor of her will.
